The New Hampshire Bulletin reported the perspective of former homicide prosecutor and senior litigation partner, Michael Lewis, on New Hampshire’s crisis in indigent criminal defense resources. Lewis and RYP’s team of litigators were asked to respond to the state’s loss of public defense resources in August 2022 by the state judiciary. He and other top litigators organized a response from the private bar that helped to resolve a very serious backlog in defense resources. RYP took on a series of complicated matters, resolving many and preserving the freedom of NH citizens. The firm’s efforts to respond to the crisis remains ongoing.
