Cate Simms is a paralegal supporting the litigation practice at Rath, Young and Pignatelli. In her more than 20 years as a paralegal, she has worked on a diverse range of civil litigation matters in areas including commercial and professional liability, environmental, products liability, construction, and employment. In addition, she assists in the representation of professionals in front of their licensing bodies. She has extensive experience in the defense of medical and dental matters and more recently has begun to assist on criminal defense, unemployment, and probate matters.

Cate has a degree in Politics from Princeton University. As a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, she also completed a year of master’s level studies in Bioethics and Health Law at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand.
