Are You Prepared for the Changes to the Lead and Copper Rule? 

On July 27, 2022, Governor Sununu signed HB 1421-FN which amended RSA 485:17-a lowering the action level in schools and childcare facilities to 5 ppb, including an obligation to conduct new sampling and review recent test results.   On December 17, 2021, EPA finalized the long-awaited revisions to the Lead and Copper Rule.  The final revisions include new inventory requirements, review of corrosion control techniques, a new Trigger level, changes in sampling protocols, an emphasis on full lead service line replacements, and additional changes that may impact your short and long-term operations.
