The 2019 New England State and Local Tax Forum, a one-day conference designed to provide an annual update on significant state and local tax developments from across the nation with a particular focus on New England, was held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, in Newton, MA.
Rath, Young and Pigantelli, PC. was represented by Kathryn Michaelis, Vice-President of the New England SALT Forum Board of Trustees, and Chris Sullivan, Treasurer of the New England SALT Forum Board of Trustees. Chris and Kathryn presented Top Issues in New England SALT. Chris also moderated the National SALT Update.
The Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to excellence in state and local tax education and tax policy was developed for state and local tax professionals from industry, private practice and public sector. Each year, a scholarship is awarded to a deserving full or part-time student enrolling in a qualifying tax program. The scholarship honors Stanley R. Arnold, the Forum’s founder and former President, for his exemplary service to the state and local tax field over the last 30 years.
