Michael is an Associate, assisting attorneys in all practice areas of the firm. Prior to joining Rath, Young and Pignatelli, P.C., Michael worked as the Program Director for the Lantos Foundation for Human Rights and Justice, where he focused on issues related to Rule of Law, Religious Freedom, and Internet Freedom.
Michael brings an international perspective, with working experience throughout Eastern Europe and Asia. In Ukraine, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the city of Simferopol. In India, Michael was a fellow at the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights & Democracy, where he focused on human rights issues in Tibet. Michael also has internship experience with Baker & McKenzie in Vietnam, and with the Central & Eastern European Bankwatch Network throughout Eastern Europe.
Michael earned his JD at the University of San Francisco in 2011 and his B.S. in Geography at the University of Maryland in 2003. He is currently a part-time LLM candidate at the Vermont Law School in its Environmental Law program. Michael is licensed to practice law in New Hampshire and Maine.
Michael is also a dedicated athlete, regularly competing in ski marathons and ultra trail running races at the amateur level. He and his wife also co-founded the Concord, NH Trail Running Club.
