Another Successful Year for the New England State and Local Tax Forum

The RYP Tax Practice is proud to have sponsored another successful year of the New England State and Local Tax Forum in Newton, Massachusetts on November 14, 2018.  The 2018 conference, now in its 7th year, drew in over 215 tax professionals from the six New England states and included sessions addressing the most significant state and local tax developments from across the nation with a particular focus on New England.   RYP’s Stan Arnold founded the Forum in 2012 as a non-profit organization dedicated to excellence in state and local tax education and tax policy.  Since then, the Forum has drawn in state tax professionals from industry, private practice and the public sector to promote and encourage important tax policy discussions.  The Forum’s Board of Trustees includes RYP’s Kathryn Michaelis as Vice-President and Chris Sullivan as Treasurer.  To further promote its goals, the Board awards a scholarship each year to a deserving full or part-time student enrolling in a qualifying tax program in New England, honoring Stan Arnold for his exemplary service to the state and local tax field over the last 30 years, including most recently at RYP.
