James is a member of the firm’s Business and Finance and Education and Non-Profit Law Practice Groups, and focuses his practice on commercial transactions and corporate business law in assisting clients with entity formation, business transactions and planning issues.

Prior to joining the firm in 2005, James practiced law in the New York office of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood where he represented both creditors and debtors in chapter 11 reorganizations and liquidation.  Before law school, James worked as both an insurance broker and underwriter concentrating on the risk management needs for various healthcare entities, physicians and property management clients.
