Oliver W. Stalter is a Shareholder of the firm and heads the firm’s Business and Finance Practice Group.  Woody concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, commercial real estate and finance.  He has substantial experience in business organizations, business acquisitions, commercial finance, work-outs and bankruptcy, venture capital, corporate trust and public finance, as well as commercial real estate leasing, acquisitions and finance.  He is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and divides his time between the firm’s Boston, Massachusetts office and the Concord, New Hampshire office.

Woody joined the firm as of April 1, 2005, when the former office of Stalter & Kennedy, P.C. became the Boston office of the firm.  Prior to starting Stalter & Kennedy, Woody was a partner at a major Boston law firm.

Representative Matters
  • Representing the buyer or seller in over 40 business acquisitions ranging in size from $500,000 to $30,000,000
  • Representing clients in commercial real estate acquisitions, financings and leases with aggregate dollar amounts in excess of $250,000,000
  • Serving as trustee counsel, bond counsel, underwriter counsel, lender counsel or borrower counsel on commercial and public finance projects aggregating over $3 Billion
  • Representing trade creditors in connection with major bankruptcy cases, including: Wang Laboratories, Molten Metal Technologies, Caldor, Grossmans, Filene's Basement and K-Mart
