Congressman Paul Hodes nominates Ann McLane Kuster for the 2007 Angels in Adoption awards.October 4, 2007
The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI), which orchestrates the Angels in Adoption™ program, honored Ann McLane Kuster at an awards ceremony and gala event in Washington, DC on October 4, 2007.
Ann was honored for being an advocate on behalf of children in New Hampshire for the past 30 years. A member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, she has completed more than 300 adoptions since 1984 and is considered by her professional colleagues as one of the best adoption lawyers in the country. She has represented both adoptive parents and birth mothers (but not at the same time) and has truly promoted the interests of children in need of homes.
The Angels in Adoption™ program is CCAI’s signature public awareness campaign and provides an opportunity for all members of the U.S. Congress to honor the good work of their constituents who have enriched the lives of foster children and orphans in the United States and abroad.
“Our goal is to raise awareness of the millions of orphans and foster children in the United States and abroad that are in need of permanent, safe and loving homes, and we congratulate Ann McLane Kuster in helping us to achieve this goal,” said Deanna Carlson Stacy, CCAI’s executive director. “Thanks to Congressman Hodes, Ann McLane Kuster will receive the recognition she deserves for her tireless effort in the mission of helping these children realize their basic right of a family.”
