RATH, YOUNG AND PIGNATELLI was founded in 1987 to provide clients with a comprehensive, solution-oriented approach to law that was often lacking in more traditional law firms.  We recognize the importance of merging traditional legal practice areas with legislative and public policy expertise.  We have earned a reputation for achieving client success through skillfull and creative advocacy in private party negotiations, before courts, regulatory agencies and legislatures.

Our professionals are leaders in key sectors of our economy where business and government interact, including business and finance, energy, tax, healthcare, environmental and insurance. 

Our clients range from the largest publicly-traded and privately-held businesses in the world to individuals and small businesses.  Our experience spans from structuring complex energy projects to monetize federal tax credits, to advocating for enactment of federal tax legislation to improve retirement savings opportunities, to defending physicians against malpractice lawsuits.

In 2005, to better serve our clients, we established a law office in Boston, and we also established a new service of the firm, The Rath Group, through which we provide targeted and strategic business and public affairs advice to clients with regional and national interests.

Our attorneys are admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in New Hampshire, and are also licensed to practice in California, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maine, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
